About Me
I initially studied the field of marine ecology and spent many years working and travelling to remote corners of the world. My background in science instilled in me a profound understanding and deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of all systems. The wild and interdependent beauty of our living planet, along with its fragility, deeply resonates with me and has led to a heightened curiosity about how we, too, are subtly shaped by our surroundings. Motivated by a strong drive to bring about positive change, I came to understand that true transformation begins with the self, and so my journey into the realm of psychotherapy began in 2019.
Alongside my training I have volunteered for the Crisis Service in North Somerset and spent a year working as part of the wide and disparate team in Somerset’s mental health alliance; Open Mental Health.
The teachings of the Dharma, my practices of both mindfulness and movement, and my ongoing appreciation for the natural world, provide me with deep and lasting nourishment. I am grounded in my existence and my work in psychotherapy enriches my life with purpose and fulfilment.
